June 26th – Nothing Surprises Me

Jun 14, 2022 | Bible Study 2022

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Psalm 23:4

Jesus tells us: I go before you as well as with you into this day. Nothing surprises Me. I know exactly what will happen, both the good and the bad. Trust in Me and don’t be afraid. Stay close to Me, and I will not let you be overwhelmed by anything that happens today. I will help you through it all, fight with a friend, disappointments, a bad grade, temptations to sin, illness, whatever comes your way. Don’t go through today with fear in your heart because of what might or might not happen. I will help you deal with whatever happens, moment by moment. Facing your problems with Me, brings blessings that are much bigger than your troubles.

Jesus Concludes: So, bring all your problems to Me, and I will bless you with My Joy.

Psalm 23:4; 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Footnotes Psalm: 23:4: Death casts a frightening shadow over us because we are entirely helpless in its presence. We can struggle with other enemies-pain, depression, disease, and injury-but our strength and courage cannot overcome death. In terms of this life, death has the final word. Only one person can walk with us through death’s dark valley and bring us safely to the other side-the God of life, our Shepherd. Because life is uncertain, we should follow this Shepherd, who offers us eternal comfort and light in the darkness.

Passage 2 Corinthians 4:16-17: 16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Footnotes 2 Corinthians 4:16-17: 16 it is easy to lose heart and quit. We have all faced problems in our relationships or in our work that have caused us to think about giving up. Rather than quitting when persecution wore him down, Paul concentrated on experiencing the inner strength that comes from the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:16). Don’t let fatigue, pain, or criticism force you off the job. Renew your commitment to serving Christ. Don’t forsake your eternal reward because of the intensity of today’s pain. Your temporary weakness allows the resurrection of power of Christ to strengthen you moment by moment. 17Our troubles do not need to diminish our faith or disillusion us. We should realize that God cares deeply about our suffering, even when we don’t have tangible evidence of his work. However, our problems and human limitations can have several positive results: (1) They can teach us how to suffer with Christ. (2) They can teach us to persevere faithfully. (3) They can teach us to look beyond this life for hope. (4) They can be used by God to demonstrate his power. Even when our pain feels great, God is still good and faithful, and his glory is always greater.

THE WORLD…we see history

ADOLF HITLER IS VIEWED BY MANY AS THE PERSONIFICATION OF EVIL. HITLER WAS RIGHT THERE, BEFORE OUR MODERN EYES, A MADMAN HELL-BENT ON DOMINATING THE WORLD.”

ADOLF HITLER 1889–1945

The WORD…we see Jesus, His Story!

The son of a failed Austrian farmer, Hitler was a disruptive student. He moved to Vienna as a teen, where he was twice refused admission to art school and lived for a time in abject poverty, his resentment festering into a violent anti-Semitism. He was decorated for his service in the Bavarian army during World War I, and after the war he and his confederates formed the National Socialist German Workers Party in Munich and tried to take over Bavaria in the “beer-hall putsch” of 1923. They were quashed and Hitler spent nine months in jail, during which time he wrote Mein Kampf (“My Battle”), which would spread his myth and philosophy and become the Nazi bible. He and the Nazi Party rose quickly in the late 1920s and early ’30s by exploiting German poverty, blaming all ills on Jewish capitalism, denigrating the harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles that concluded World War I, and promising an epoch of Aryan (The Aryan race is a historical race concept which emerged in the late 19th century to describe people of Indo-European heritage as a racial grouping.[1] The theory had been widely rejected and disproved since there neither exists historical evidence nor archaeological evidence which supports the claims) Wiki
greatness. In 1934, 88 percent of the populace voted to consolidate the presidency and chancellorship into one office, that of Führer, or “leader.” Anti-Semitism became law.
