October 2 – Every Hair on Your Head

Oct 2, 2022 | Bible Study 2022, Sermons, Papers & Articles

Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Don’t be afraid. Luke 12:7 (New Life Application Study Bible)

Jesus Tells us: Don’t ever forget that I know you better than you know yourself, and far better than anyone else knows you. Your parents, your best friend, your brother or sister cannot be with you at all times. But I am. And at every moment I know your every thought, every felling, every hope and dream. I know every detail about you, right down to how many hairs you have on your head.
Not only do in know you, but I also understand you. I know all the whys and hows that you can’t even put into words. I understand what is inside your heart. Many people spend their whole lives searching for someone who can truly understand them. But all you have to do is call on My Name, opening your heart to Me. This simple act of faith is all it takes.

Jesus Concludes: I understand you perfectly, and I love you forever.

Luke 12:7; John 1:12; Romans 10:13 Study notes

Footnotes Luke 12:7 God’s estimate of our worth, not our peers’ estimate of it, determines our real value. Other people may evaluate and categorize us according to how we perform, what we achieve, and how we look. But God values us because he created every one of us in his image, and he is constantly working to carry out his purpose and plan for us. He doesn’t want us to miss out on all he created us to be and become.

Passage John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Footnotes John 1:12 All who welcome Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives are reborn spiritually, receiving new life from God. Through faith in Jesus, this new birth changes us from the inside out, rearranging our attitudes, desires, and motives. Being born makes you physically alive and places you in your parent’s family. Being born of God, makes you spiritually alive and puts you in God’s family. Have you asked Jesus to make you a new person? This fresh start in life is available to all who believe in him.

Passage Romans 10:13 For everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved.

Footnotes Romans 10:8-12 Have you ever been asked, “How do I become a Christian?” These verses give you the beautiful answer: Salvation is as close as your own lips and heart. People think it must be a complicated process, but it is not. If we sincerely believe in your hearts and profess that Jesus Christ is the risen Lord, we will be saved.

THE WORLD…we see history

ALEXANDER THE GREAT
356-323 B.C.

GREATEST WARRIOR IN WORLD HISTORY

ALEXANDER’S GHOST LOOMS OVER THE REGION AND IT’S TURMOIL EVERY DAY

Macedon’s King Philip II had successfully installed his rule over Greece and had just begun his invasion of the Persian Empire, an enormous autonomy extending from the Mediterranean Sea to India, when he was assassinated in 336 B.C. His 20year old son, Alexander, already a veteran of the military and of Aristotle’s tutoring, was thus thrust into a position of power at a young age. Not known then, was that he only had another 13 years to live.

The WORD…we see Jesus, His Story!

What he would accomplish in that short time, in terms of world domination, is truly astonishing. Leaving behind forces to defend Greece’s possessions in Europe, Alexander swept into Persia, Asia Minor, Syria, Phoenicia, Gaza, Egypt, Asia, Babylon, Iran, and with only 35,000 men, defeat much larger armies, time and again. He was, by all accounts, a brilliant, brave, inspiring general. Flush with success, he went forth beyond Persia into Afghanistan and India. Then, after 11 plus years undefeated in battle, he pulled back to Persia and began to reorganize his empire into a kind of utopian melding of East and West. He died a short while later of a fever, and his vast domain was subsequently split among his generals. The nation of Alexander, perhaps the greatest warrior in world history, was therefore short-lived, but the crucial linking of Grecian and Asian cultures and ideas, and the manner in which they would continue to influence and vie with each other forevermore, had been forged by one man, Alexander’s ghost looms over the region and its turmoil every day.
