July 31 – With and Within You

It was God’s purpose to reveal to them how rich is the glory of this mystery among the gentiles;
it is Christ among you, your hope of glory – Colossians 1:27 (New Jerusalem Bible)

Jesus tells us: Trust Me. Really trust Me, deep down inside. Remember that I live in you. This world is constantly demanding something from you. Go here. Do this. Be this. Say that. It can send you spinning around like a top, until you feel dizzy, frazzled, and overwhelmed. Don’t get upset with yourself when that happens. You are only human. Just take a deep breath and remind yourself that I am not only right here with you, but I am also inside you.

Jesus concludes: Let My Presence with and within you calm you down. Slow down for a while, and search for Me. Deep inside you – where I live – you can find My Peace.

Footnotes Colossians 1:27: God’s promises are for all people and for each one with no distinction. We too, are offered nothing less than a share in the Glory of God, that is all the riches found in Him.

Passage Matthew 28:20: … teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.

Footnotes Matthew 28:20: These instructions of Jesus have prominent place in the Gospel and first place in Matthew’s Gospel. We are to do the will of the Father just as Jesus revealed it. “You will remain in my love if you keep my commandments, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love” (John 15:10).

Passage John 20:19: In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you’.

Footnotes John 20:19: Jesus soon presents Himself in the Community as source, the only one, of true Peace. He appears, alive and well, in a locked room meaning that His resurrected body is not blocked by any physical barriers. That Peace that was a promise in the Old Testament it finds its realization through Jesus and with Jesus.

RAPE OF A WOMAN (October 16th 2021) IN A CROWDED PHILADELPHIA TRAIN,
NO ONE DID NOTHING TO REPORT THE HORRENDEOUS CRIMINAL ACT

UPPER DARBY, Pa. — A woman riding a crowded Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority train was raped on Wednesday night, and bystanders witnessing the attack neither intervened nor contacted authorities, police said. According to Delaware County authorities, the woman reported that she was raped on the inbound elevated line near 69th Street in Upper Darby at around 11 p.m., and 35-year-old Fishton Ngoy has been arrested on multiple charges related to the attack, KYW-TV reported. Ngoy’s arrest occurred at the 69th Street transportation center after a transit authority employee noticed the attack taking place and alerted authorities, WCAU reported. According to KYW-TV, a transit authority patrolman found the suspect partially clothed on the train near the victim and “took action.” Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt of the Upper Darby Police Department confirmed to WCAU that the assault was captured on surveillance video, and he said that he was shocked after the footage revealed that other riders on the crowded train at the time of the attack did nothing to stop it. “It’s disturbing that there were definitely people on the El, and no one did anything to intervene or help this woman,” Bernhardt told the TV station, referring to the Market-Frankford Elevated Line that runs between Upper Darby and Frankford in Lower Northeast Philadelphia.
